Following a successful 2019, emineo continues to grow in 2020

In spite of the corona crisis, the Swiss IT company, emineo AG is completely on track when it comes to achieving its corporate objectives. The continuing positive trend is supported by the growing confidence in the market, increased international business and new offers in the field of digitisation. emineo closed the 2019 fiscal year with a 35% revenue growth and an increase in headcount by over 50%. This trend will continue in 2020.

emineo develops custom software solutions and, as an SAP Gold Partner, supports companies in optimising their business processes and becoming more intelligent. A broad portfolio of customers and industries, a long-term strategy and fast, effective action at the beginning of the crisis paid off for emineo AG: within just 24 hours, the company adjusted to the new conditions set out by the corona crisis. In this way, emineo stabilised its project business and revenues. This has given the company a boost of confidence as emphasised by CEO Aleardo Chiabotti: “Our ultra-modern infrastructure and a functioning business continuity concept enabled us to act quickly and maintain our deliver capability even during the lockdown.” For 2020/2021, we foresee growing demand and a positive market sentiment – also with regard to longer-term corporate objectives. The fact that emineo has been on track since the beginning of 2020 is also supported by some key figures: with 10% sales growth compared to the same period of the previous year (1 January to 30 June), the company is all set to record another successful year.

Solid business base

emineo’s position was strong even before the crisis. Sales increased from CHF 22 to 30 million in 2019. Demand has also risen in the SAP Consulting service lines, namely consulting on SAP strategies and S/4HANA launches, followed by Software Engineering and Business Intelligence & Analytics.

At the same time, emineo grew organically with an increase in headcount from around 80 to over 120 employees in the past year. In order to accommodate this growth on a cultural, methodological and operational level with regard to customer projects, emineo invested in a multi-stage onboarding process and an in-house performance coach.

emineo has also grown in terms of ownership, which ensures continuity: in addition to the founding partners, Christoph Winkler, Werner Zecchino and Marcel Zimmermann, Aleardo Chiabotti (CEO) and Timo Schwab (Head of Consulting & Products) have become new partners at emineo AG this year.

Positive outlook for 2020 and beyond

Additional reasons for the positive outlook are a growing international business, especially in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, as well as an expanded range of services. emineo expanded its expertise and services in the areas of advanced analytics and user experience, which are highly relevant for digitisation. Furthermore, a revised, modern market presence has increased the perception and recognition of the emineo brand.
