Swissgrid AG is responsible for the infrastructure of the Swiss electricity transmission network. Just like the electricity, the internal processes at Swissgrid should also flow smoothly: For effective and efficient support in the digital cloud age, Swissgrid has been looking for new partners for SAP Application Management since December 2020. emineo was awarded the contract Application Management and Operational Support for SAP SuccessFactors solutions (incl. SAP S/4HANA Payroll) worth over 4.5 million Swiss francs.

From its locations in Aarau and Prilly, Swissgrid is responsible for the planning, replacement and expansion of the entire infrastructure of the Swiss transmission network. The organisation, which is under the supervision of the Swiss Federal Electricity Commission (EICom), was looking for new SAP application management partners for the solution that is being developed as part of the “ERP Way Forward” project. The aim of this project is to modernise Swissgrid’s heterogeneous ERP environment with a central and integrated solution that meets the requirements for end-to-end business processes.

SAP Gold Partner emineo was awarded the contract for “Lot 2” at the beginning of June 2021, i.e. “Application Management for HR solutions of SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management (Digital Core and SaaS solutions) and operational support for the already existing SAP Success Factors solutions”. This lot includes software developments and IT services for HR applications based on SAP amounting to more than CHF 4.5 million. The contract for “Lot 1” in the area of SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management (without HR) was awarded to BTC Switzerland. The tender covers the complete managed services of the ERP application landscape, including transition, further development, support and consulting after go-live, as well as optional services until the end of 2030.
